These photos were taken at the end of January and show you more of Moraira and it's urban areas with it's beaches and bays. Moraira comprises of urbanizations with quiet residential streets and a village centre of low rise apartments beside the sea and port. Click on the link if you want to see a specific urbanization.

Pla del Mar is Moraira's original urbanization situated right beside the town and overlooking the harbour. The photo shows the attractive gardens and large older villas on this low lying hill. The streets here are named after the seas of the world. enlarge

Facing Pla del Mar and overlooking the port and the sea is a recently inaugurated sea front path that runs from Moraira to El Portet. The photo is of the start of the path in a small park featuring typical Mediterranean plants and shrubs. enlarge

El Portet is a small village at the end of the coast road leading from Moraira. The Partida El Portet urbanization extends along the Cap d'Or point giving fine views over the village and the Mediterranean. The area comprises mostly individual villas with pools  and some bungalows and has been popular for many years with visitors from Valencia, Calpe, Alicante, Altea who have second homes here. Portet beach is within walking distance and is ideal for families with it's shallow water and gentle slope. enlarge

Partida El Port continues along the Cami de la Viuda with urban areas reaching to the Cap d'Or mountain tops to take advantage of the great views. Moraira is still only 5 minutes drive away along the coast road and the whole area is urban with mains water and electricity although there is still a good deal of undeveloped hillside land. enlarge

Further along in the direction of Benitachell the Cami de la Viuda passes the Partida de Arnella urbanization with a mixture of older and new villas and winding palm lined streets. The Partida El Port and the Partida Arnella still have a rustic, mountain country side feel although they are only a short way from Moraira and Benitachell town. enlarge
