Moraira Village and Urbanizations: Moraira Village and Beach, Portet Village and Beach   San Jaime, Cap Blanc, Moravit  Pla del Mar, Partida el Port, Arnella   Pinar de l'Advocat, Alcasar, Paichi, Sabatera

MorairaPinar de l'Avocat is a sunny south facing urbanization situated on a hillside beside a wide vineyard that leads down to Moraira town. It has easy access along the Cami de Camarrocha to Moraira beach and the the coast road, or alternatively you can take the Sabatera exit towards Teulada, Benitachell and Javea. The thick pinewoods are typical of Moraira and the town hall protects the trees on private and public land. enlarge
MorairaPartida Alcasar is the last urbanization in Moraira-Teulada before you reach Benitachell and comprises bungalows and villas with views over the coast and Benissa mountains. The photo shows the Alcasar bungalows and a typical Valencia, Calpe, Alicante, Altean dry stone wall. These walls use locally quarried stone that is expertly chipped by hand by specialized masons to give the smooth appearance that you see. These walls drain very well and a good quality one can last for centuries. enlarge
MorairaPartida Paichi adjoins Arnella and Alcasar on the right side of the Teulada-Benitachell road and has the same aspect looking over the Teulada and Benissa valleys that you can see in the photo. The roads here are all named after famous painters and they wind down steeply among palms and cactuses from the Cap d'Or hilltop. Paichi has it's own popular shopping centre with a supermarket and general shops. You will often find place names in Moraira now spelled in the Valencia, Calpe, Alicante, Altean way so maps and signs will often say Paitxi instead of Paichi. enlarge
MorairaPartida Sabatera is on the other side of the Moraira-Teulada road and you can see the access road here crossing the vineyard.  The Sabatera hilltop faces both Moraira and Calpe and the urbanization is one of the original ones in Moraira with it's own commercial centre. If you take the left turn where the road starts to rise you have a shortcut to Moraira beach avoiding the traffic. enlarge
MorairaSabatera villas have for the most part been renovated, often with new gres flooring and modern kitchens and bathrooms but most still retain their wood burning chimneys. Modern casette style cast iron fires fit nicely in the original chimney-breasts and combined with automatic fans give a very satisfactory and economical fire. Firewood is available by the van load and is usually the slower burning orange, olive and algorobo wood. enlarge
MorairaThe photo shows Sol Park Tennis Club situated in Sabatera at the turning to Teulada. It also has football and a bar and is opposite the Sol Park commercial centre, 5 minutes from Moraira.  enlarge
