One of the old Basetes seafront villas with mature yuccas and falso pimiento trees and antique olive oil jars being used as plant pots. To make a lawn like this you use a special kind of grass that makes a thick springy mat and which needs a fairly deep soil. It still gets some water and you can see the sprinkler in the foreground. enlarge

Another fabulous Basetes villa on the second line with a great mixture of giant Yuccas, Palms and Bougainvillea. The roads here run parallel to the sea and the urbanization is located between the Calpe - Moraira coast road and the seafront cliffs.
