Altea Photos - Urlisa I,II,III, Villa Marina Golf, Alahama Springs

These photos were taken in February and show you more of Altea and it's urban areas with it's attractive hill top old town and new Altea Hills urbanization and Luis Campomanes sports harbour. Altea comprises of sunny hill side urbanizations on the east side of the town with a long curving bay lined with low rise beachfront apartments. Villa Marina Golf and Urlisa III with a view from Altea Hills. The streets of Altea Hills all come with pavements and street lights and have views over Altea and the Mediterranean. The apartments of Villa Marina Golf are on the hill top to the left and Urlisa III  which is still being developed is on the hill to the right. Altea la Vieja village is 4,5km away, Altea centre 7km and Calpe 10km. The Urlisa urbanizations and Villa Marina Golf can be reached by taking the Altea Hills entrance from the N332 near Pueblo Mascarat or turning off to Don Cayo Golf after Altea la Vieja. enlarge

Urlisa II is easy to reach taking a left turn after the bridge at the entrance to Altea Hills. Like the other Urlisas it is situated on a sunny hillside with fine views and comprises individually designed villas with pools of types. The newer development  in Urlisa II and III includes some bungalow (maisonette) developments that are now being offered for sale. enlarge

Villa Marina Golf is an new development of spacious luxury apartments on a hilltop overlooking Altea and the coast. They feature deep shady terraces with fine views and are excellently located for access to Altea, Calpe and the Don Cayo Golf Club. enlarge

Alahama Springs is one of Altea's original urbanizations situated in the countryside beyond Altea la Vella (or Vieja). Take the road through Altea la Vella and continue for 1 km before taking a right turn towards the Sierra de Altea. The access road runs through almond fields (shown in the photo) and leads to Urbanization Jardines de Alahama, Urbanization Alahama Springs  and Urbanization Alahama towards Urbanization Sierra de Altea II. The area is one of private properties in quiet streets between pine woods. enlarge

Alahama Springs is an established urbanization with individually designed spacious villas and gardens dating from the 1970's. The properties are often built on two floors with lower guest apartments with terraces and garages and parking. Behing Alahama Springs you have access to the Sierra Bernia with it's mountain paths and recreation area and following the Altea la Vieja road inland takes you through the nispero groves to Callosa d'en Sarria and Guadelest. enlarge
