Altea Urbanization Map.
Altea has a direct access off the A7 motorway that takes you directly into Altea town or
through the Mascarat tunnel to Calpe. Taking the Calpe
direction, the road follows the coast with a left turn to Altea Hills Urbanization and the
Hotel Melia and right turns to Galera Mar urbanization, Luis Campomanes Sports Harbour and
Pueblo Mascarat. The Altea map shows the Altea Hills Urbanization occupying the seaward

The Urlisa urbanizations (I,II and III) and Galera de las Palmeras are located on adjoining hilltops with the Principal de la Sierra access road leading off the N332 opposite the Galera de las Palmeras entrance. Alternatively they can be reached from Altea la Vieja, and the road to take is the Altea la Vieja access just before the A7 toll booths. This also leads to the popular Don Cayo Golf Course that you can see on the map..
The Alfaz del Pi side of Altea is for the most part rustic land connected by small rural roads although the large Bello Horizonte urbanization is located on the main Altea - La Nucia road (actually in La Nucia but closer to Altea). If you would like to see photos of Altea urbanizations click here.

Altea Town Centre. The Altea map shows the N332 passing through Altea with the name
Calle Conde de Altea and Calle de la Mar although plans are under way to divert it round
the town. A main feature of Altea is it's palm lined promenade, the Passeig del
Mediterrani that joins the sea front Calle de Sant Pere leading past Altea harbour and on
to Albir village.
Altea Old Town is located on a hilltop in the centre of the town. The church square with it's fine views can be reached by car but most people walk up the picturesque cobbled streets to get there.
The main two roads leading inland from Altea are the Avenida de La Nucia that starts at the main N332 crossroads in Altea centre (you can see it on the map) and the Callosa d'en Sarria road that starts by the A7 entrance and heads up into the Sierra Serella. This is the quickest route to take to get to Guadelest and it takes you through the extensive Nispero groves that are the speciality crop of Callosa.
