After sales is an important area given that the majority of our purchasers are from outside Spain and do not wish to contact the utility companies, the Spanish authorities or suppliers themselves.
The following after sales service is included in the purchase price:
- Contact Iberdrola, the electricity utility with change of ownership information. We also arrange for the bills to be charged directly to your account if you wish and can open a new account for you if you do not already have one.
- Visit the water utility with the change of ownership documents that they require and arrange for a direct debit.
- Visit the town hall rates office and rubbish collection department to inform them of the change of ownership.
- Prepare the documentation for your N.I.E. number (a registration number that every foreign property owner needs) and explain the procedure. You have to go to the foreigners office in person but you can go with everything prepared.
- Change the telephone to your name or apply for a new line.
- Transfer existing holiday rental agreements to your name if you wish.
